The first link is a regular camcorder for 100 dollars, the second link is a flip ultra which is smaller for 150 dollars. I cant really tell which camcorder is better in terms of quality (cant understand the features) But in terms of purely video recording, which camcorder is better? (not the compact portableness but the actual quality of the video)

I want to buy a camcorder, but because I’ve never had one before, I’ve got no idea about anything.

I guess I want one thats around $100-$130 dollars, smallish, has good quality sound and audio (or the best you can get for my price range). I’d use it for filming friends/family, or interesting looking videos (I want to learn editing).

Also, what is the average quality of camera within $100-130? Is it terrible, or average? What are terms I should know, like, “a point and shoot ” means…

In know it might be not the very best quality, but what if I have absolutely no other option to get a camera around $100-130?

I’m a skateboarder and need a digital camcorder and my budget is $100-$250. Anything but Flip or Aiptek. I’m not an expert or anything and it will be my first but i know i will stick with it because i use my brothers and love it but i need my own. Thanks for the answers/time!

I have two video cameras, one is brand new, records on HDD and is awesome quality. My other one is just a little Aiptek video camera worth $75- $100, but it’s quality isn’t great (but it’s not terrible). Which camera should I take with me on my 3 day snowboarding trip up to Vermont?

should I go to radioshack and buy the Samsung® S630 6.0MP Digital Camera

or should i go to target and buy the Aiptek DV5900 5MP Pocket Digital Camcorder

I got a Aiptek Pocket DV 4100M and some Evil backstabbing kid trowed it in the water on purpose. I had lots of cameras accidentally dropped in the water but never messed up and turned out fine,

while the Aiptek camera acts up while on batteries and keeps displaying messages saying change the batteries all the time.

The Aiptek camera is fine but has a software bug because the water made the software mis-programmed.

So the only way I can fix it is a flash ROM/BIOS of Aiptek 4100 to correct the errors it got when in the water.

It’s almost like the water hacked it’s software cause it still works.

So should I ask Aiptek for a firmware copy to flash the Cameras BIOS/ROM?

I want to buy a camcorder, that uses SD cards, or internal memory, and is between $100-$170
And also, do they sell Aiptek camcorders at best buy?

I am a person who loves to make movies indoors and with anything around my house and what not. Is this camera the right thing to use? Is it clear enough for me or is the quality of sound and picture bad? If this isn’t a good camera for me, what do you suggest I choose?
