I’ve recently ordered a Aiptek Dv4500 camcorder. It came which was the good part. But they gave me a camcorder with a broken speaker. So I RMA it for a replacement. I called there company today and founded out that they don’t have any record of my camera being RMA. One of the worker told me he will e-mail me when he locates the package I sended back. WTH is goin on!? The first time I’ve asked them when will my cam be able to be back they told me 1 week now this guy tells me 3-4 weeks. I’m startin to worry. Do you think the literally lost my cam? Would they give me a new one?

I bought an 8 mega pixel digital camera from Aiptek. When I tried uploading everything on my computer from the disk it gave me, it all seemed to work fine at first. Now it’s the next day, and I can’t watch any of my videos unless I watch them directly from Muvee, the program it came with. But I’d rather be able to open my videos and watch them through Windows Media instead, and yet every time I click on my videos to watch them a window pops up saying, “An audio codec is needed to play this file. To determine if this codec is downloadable from the Web, click Web Help.” Well I’ve done that a few times, and it always says the server is busy. I also think it’s a rip off that I can’t watch my videos with programs that have already been on my computer for free, and that I have to use THEIR program instead. Plus, their muvee thing says I can only use 3 videos and/or 3 pics at a time to make an actual muvee, unless I actually buy yet another program from them. Has anyone had these problems, and if so can you help me with this? So far aiptek and muvee have been horrible and I would never buy anything from them again, unless all this works out, in which I will be grateful but still upset that their equpiment is so difficult to figure out, and no, I’m not an old granny or anything, I’m frikin 20! Bah, please help!

My question is, how do you connect it to a computer and will you be able to play it back on your computer? If you look under specificiations it says there is no USB and no iLink, but it also says there is a USB cable in the box. Also, will this format play on Windows Media Player, and will I be able to transfer it to Windows Movie Maker?

Its an AIPTEK-4000–Aiptek Pocket Cam 4000 3.1 Megapixel 4x Digital Zoom Camera

I want to know if its a good kind of camera and if it a good deal to get it at $44.99. The package includes the camera, a small stand, a case, software, and I think cables and batteries. Any info ASAP would be appreciated.

Does anyone know about the quality of the aiptek brand cameras or camcorder?

The LCD lights up but it just doesn’t come on for me to use the camera. The LCD is blank and after awhile the camera powers off. There is also a little green light over the video button that comes on and stays on until the camera shuts off. If little droplets of water come in contact with the screen can that also make the camera not work. The version of camera I have is the Aiptek IS-DV2. Desperately needs some help.

I’m looking to get a cheaper camcorder because to be honest I’m probably not going to use it as much as I think I would. I’m looking at the Aiptek brand and wanted to know if it was descent. Or if you would recommend another brand let me know.
