I like the mic jack on the Aiptek. I have a shotgun mic from 5 years ago that I used on my mini DV camcorder (now broken).
I like the fact that the Aiptek comes with editing software, though it is my understanding there are some freeware programs just as good.
I like the Sony because it is a better respected brand name.
Which would you choose? Why? Thanks!

Yea so I want to buy this camera and want to know if its decent. Just want some clear pics and clear videos and decent web cam videos. but I read reviews on it and they said the quality was very poor.
Well Brent I am a novice camera user and the camera I listed is only like 90 bucks after tax at walmart. Since I really wouldnt be using it often and not expecting photographer or artist type detail I dont think Ill need a sony since I saw most of their cameras are in the hundreds – a grand+
But is this camera decent? Im about to order it unless someone can point out a flaw it has that I dont know. There is virtually no reviews that I could find and the only thing I read that 1 person didnt like was the cameras size which makes no difference to me. Oh and that you use batteries instead of a battery pack(Ill buy rechargeable batteries)

Does it need batteries or does it charge? and how is the quality? Oh and another thing, how many pics and videos can it hold? What about with A 1 or 2 GB card(do they fit in a slot?)

My question is, how do you connect it to a computer and will you be able to play it back on your computer? If you look under specificiations it says there is no USB and no iLink, but it also says there is a USB cable in the box. Also, will this format play on Windows Media Player, and will I be able to transfer it to Windows Movie Maker?

All the sites that i’ve seen it on has had mostly good reviews. have any of you bought one? how do you like it?

I want to know if its a good kind of camera and if it a good deal to get it at $44.99. The package includes the camera, a small stand, a case, software, and I think cables and batteries. Any info ASAP would be appreciated.

These two camcorders are my top picks for a new camcorder because they are small, but powerful. I don’t know how powerful they are though. I ran a few encoding simulations with Windows Media Encoder to see if the Pocket DV3100 was worth it, but I couldn’t decide. Please answer my question, and tell me if they are worth it. THX.
