Mpeg-4 video playback issues on a Windows XP with a Pentium 4 processor?

2 GB of RAM
500 GB Hard Drive

This thing can’t playback Mpeg-4 video from a Samsung HMX10C Camcorder smoothly, what seems to be the problem?

    720p H264 video takes a lot to process and could easily overwhelm a Pentium 4. You can lower the video bit rate or get a better H264 codec.
